JTC – Construction of Roads, Drains, Sewers & Canal Diversion including Ancillary Works at Terusan & Pesawat Industrial Estate
To facilitate the redevelopment of Terusan and Pesawat Industrial Estate, the road network and drainage system in the vicinity have been reconfigured with new construction.
Constituting part of the preparatory works for the redevelopment plan, the existing 15m-wide canal was diverted to make way for resizing of land plots into regular shape. In conjunction, three new reinforced concrete box culverts were constructed across this canal to aid traffic flow. During the diversion works, temporary tidal control gates were designed and implemented to prolong the working window for the building of outfall structures which was subjected to tidal influence and ingress of sea water.
In addition, a new Exit 15A was constructed along the Ayer Raja Expressway (AYE) to improve the connectivity of these industrial estates. To better serve the prospective tenants, other civil works have also been completed, including the development of four new dual 2-lane and one new dual 1-lane roads, widening of three existing road networks, enhancement of drainage system as well as the installation of pipelines for the sewerage system, supply of NEWater and potable water.
To sum up, earthworks were carried out to profile the land plots in accordance with the finishing level and alignment as per requirements.
