Contract ER495 involved the widening and recambering of live carriageways along Upper Serangoon Road. To minimise the inconvenience caused to the public, the project team has planned the works meticulously, coupling with systematic execution of temporary road diversions.
Besides, innovative products and services were also deployed to speed up the construction process. For examples, semi-rigid pavements were installed at all junctions, temporary road markings were removed using in-house ultra-high pressure (UHP) waterblasting system and etc.
Alongside, the drainage system and other road facilities were duly upgraded with the construction of reinforced concrete drains, box culverts and sumps, building of new retaining structure and erection of new covered linkway.
Several conservation works were conducted, such as salvaging of a concrete cross during the demolition of existing driveway arch columns of The Girls’ Brigade Singapore (formerly known as St. Gabriel Primary School), rejuvenation of the heritage footpath trail with our Renew-Crete Systems and relocation of affected heritage signboards within the worksite.
