Samwoh Recognised for Productivity and Innovation at SCAL PIA 2023

Singapore, 24 October 2023 — Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd has been awarded the Bronze Award at the Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL) Productivity and Innovation Awards 2023 (PIA 2023), in recognition of its continued efforts to drive innovation and productivity within the construction industry.

The awards ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour, Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development, and brought together industry leaders to celebrate advancements in construction productivity and innovation.

At Samwoh, innovation remains a key driver in reimagining the future of sustainable construction. A notable example is the use of Conflexpave (precast rigid pavement) panels in one of its recent projects, delivering significant improvements in efficiency and operational performance. These panels enhance the ability to withstand higher compressive loads compared to conventional rigid pavements, reduce user delay costs through faster construction timelines, and extend durability, resulting in less frequent maintenance requirements.

This approach reflects Samwoh’s commitment to integrating advanced construction technologies that improve productivity while supporting sustainable development.

In addition to this achievement, Samwoh also celebrates Executive Director Mr Chua Chian Hong for attaining Tier A certification under the Construction Professional Accreditation Scheme (CPAS). The CPAS is an official recognition program that certifies industry professionals for their comprehensive experience and competence in managing large construction projects. Mr Chua’s achievement highlights the strong leadership and professional expertise driving Samwoh’s continued success.
