Samwoh Honoured for Safety and Sustainability Excellence at ASAC 2023

Singapore, 19 September 2023 — Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd has earned industry recognition for its outstanding commitment to workplace safety and environmental innovation at the 25th Annual Safety, Health and Environmental Awards Convention (ASAC), organised by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Held at the Singapore EXPO and graced by Acting Minister for Transport, Mr Chee Hong Tat, this year’s convention brought together industry leaders under the theme “Transforming Workforce for SHE Excellence”. The event underscores LTA’s continued focus on strengthening workplace safety and health (WSH) standards while addressing evolving manpower challenges across the construction sector.

Among 42 organisations honoured at the convention, Samwoh stood out as a recipient of two prestigious awards: the Accident-Free Recognition Award and the Environmental Sustainability Innovation Award. These accolades reflect Samwoh’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its workforce while advancing environmentally responsible practices.

At the heart of Samwoh’s recognition is its forward-thinking approach to environmental management, which led to the company receiving the Environmental Sustainability Innovation Award. Samwoh introduced a smart mobile application that enables real-time monitoring of equipment (e.g. pumps, generators and chemical levels), as well as remote control of its silty water treatment systems.

This innovation enhances operational efficiency while reducing reliance on manual intervention and on-site manpower. It has also delivered tangible benefits, including reduced generator idling time, lower fuel consumption, and a smaller environmental footprint.

Samwoh’s achievements at ASAC 2023 reflect its broader mission to place people, safety and sustainability at the core of its operations. By integrating green technologies and innovative solutions, the company continues to enhance productivity while contributing to a safer and healthier work environment.

As industries evolve and adapt to new challenges, Samwoh remains committed to driving progress through innovation — supporting Singapore’s vision of becoming one of the world’s safest and healthiest workplaces by 2028.
